December 14, 2007, a massive fire destroyed Gränsfors Bruks USA factory, warehouse and office in Summerville, South Carolina. It is a tragic event for all of us including the 25 people working in our Summerville company. Luckily, no one was hurt during the fire.
Yvonne Caruso, management director at Gränsfors Bruks Inc., with her team and friends are working extremely hard to have the company up and running again as soon as possible. Hopefully we will have the possibility to start manufacturing of safety chaps in February. The distribution in the US of Gränsfors axes from Sweden will be very low under the first half year 2008 and Woolpower thermal underwear can not be delivered in the US before August 2008.

Café Gränsfors
Das Café Gränsfors hat anfangs Mai geöffnet. Hier gibt es leichteres Essen, Kaffee und Kuchen in eine gemütliche „zu Hause bei“ Atmosphäre. Im Obergeschoss gibt es Zimmer, rund um das Jahr zu mieten.
