Torbjörn Eng, Managing Director in the family owned Engtex company, says:

"Our product is based on the fact that you can't make a fabric which you can't cut through by a chain saw, ­ the saws, the chains and the speed are too good! The product we produce is designed to provide protection by jamming and clogging the saw chain and the drive sprocket. A clogged drive sprocket will reduce the speed of the chain or stop it and that will reduce the severity of injury of an accident."

The production line for the "jamming protective fabric" at Engtex is double checked, by computers and by people.



Compared with multinational chemical and textile companies, Engtex with 60 employees is a small company. But it has always spent a high proportion of their resources on research, development and quality control.
